The Art of Intercultural Communication: Lessons for successful cross-cultural interactions

“Because of cultural differences—different, deeply held beliefs and instincts about what is natural, normal, right, and good—cross-cultural interactions are subject to all manner of confusion, misunderstanding, and misinterpretation. In a word, they are often unsuccessful.”
― Craig Storti, The Art of Crossing Cultures

Successful intercultural dialogue requires skills and an open mindset to foster more inclusive and globally competent communities.

In today’s globalised world, misunderstandings rooted in cultural differences can hinder collaboration, innovation, and connection. But with greater cultural awareness and a commitment to learning, these challenges can become opportunities for growth.

In this event, panellists will share insights and experiences in navigating intercultural spaces, cultural misunderstandings and subsequent lessons learned. Together, we’ll explore what it takes to become intercultural citizens and reflect, connect, and communicate across cultures with greater insight and impact.
